How the daily report is built

A reader-first process for materiality, direct evidence, category-specific benchmarks, timestamps, interaction testing, corrections and publication controls.

Morning edition: Saturday, July 25, 2026 · Data cutoff Jul 25, 2026, 4:00 AM (America/New_York)

Three reading levels

Simple briefing

The default view answers what happened, why it matters, who is affected and what should be monitored without exposing the complete audit machinery first.

Professional detail

Operational readers can reveal model, market, industry, policy and limitation details while keeping the same source-backed edition.

Evidence appendix

Auditors and advanced readers can inspect field-level deltas, trend coverage, pricing history, source grades, claim coverage and revision records.

Editorial materiality

A briefing contains three to five items according to the evidence available. Quiet days are not padded to a fixed count. Stable evergreen data is linked rather than republished as a fresh change, and empty technical categories do not generate empty tables.

Source priority and directness

  1. 1

Official model documentation, pricing pages, product pages, filings and government sources.

  2. 2

Original benchmark organizations, research papers and reliable specialist-data feeds.

  3. 3

Reputable journalism for context, with the underlying event date recorded separately.

  4. 4

Independent tests and community reports only when clearly labeled and reproducible.

A reachable page is not automatically direct evidence. Market claims, for example, must point to the correct ticker and a historical-quote or market-data page rather than a balance sheet, option chain or market-cap page.

Evidence grades

A–B

Strong, traceable and current evidence suitable for publication after normal editorial controls.

C

Evidence requiring explicit review, visible caveats and careful claim scope.

D–E

Insufficient for a critical claim. Critical use blocks publication until replaced, refreshed or resolved.

Claim-level citation coverage

Each consequential statement, structured record, recommendation, absence assertion and numerical value receives a stable report-object path. Critical and numerical claims require complete valid citation coverage.

Corrections, retractions and superseded claims

Published claims are never silently overwritten. A correction records the stable claim path, original value, replacement value, reason, affected pages, evidence and approval. Entries are hash-linked so mutation or reordering can be detected.

Benchmark policy

General reasoning, mathematics, software engineering, terminal agents, long context and document/OCR are ranked separately. Model versions, benchmark versions, dates, tool access and original scales remain visible. Scores are never blended into an overall capability ranking.

Pricing and trend policy

Original currencies, regions and units are preserved. Source-only metadata changes are ignored. Historical windows are labeled incomplete until sufficient preserved editions exist, and missing dates are never extrapolated.

Functional browser acceptance

A production build is not enough. Automated Chrome or Edge acceptance opens the current hub, permanent edition and audit pages at mobile, tablet and desktop sizes. It clicks benchmark tabs, changes claim, trend and pricing filters, switches report views, checks horizontal overflow and fails on JavaScript exceptions or content-security-policy errors.

Public data separation

The public reader feed contains the edition content needed by applications and readers. A separate public audit feed contains deltas, trends, pricing history, source grades, claim coverage and revision status. The release manifest records hashes and publication totals. Internal workflow, approval and claim-mapping data remains outside the public directory.

Authorship and review

Daily editions are published under H. Omer Aktas, Editor, AIUpdateWatch.com. Every displayed edition states that it was reviewed, corrected and approved by H. Omer Aktas.

Edition timing

Each edition uses the exact New York cutoff shown on the page. It cannot contain events, prices or market changes occurring after that cutoff.
